A leading container shipping and global transportation company were at their peak
running their global businesses. For a long saturation after expansion, people
are contented and the said company face a situation of decline profits despite
business continue to grow. In view to
maintain lower labor cost and operating cost, intended to mobilize their China
HQ from tier 1 city to tier 2 city. After they announced the change, all ground
staffs were at shock and reacted to the change. During the transition period,
they faced a series of unpredicted problems such as employee morale drastically
dropped, many resigned, mid-high management team went into helpless and
negative situations etc.
We were invited to help them with the transition period. During
the training workshops, it’s obvious that the management team themselves are in
very low morale despite some of them are going to stay with the company, as
this change does impact hundreds of families. They successfully switch over
their mind and found their purposes and finally be able to view things at a
higher level and in a positive manners. Aside of the essential competencies and
skills transfer, a series of executable plans were established during the
workshops and they brought back to workplace for implementation.
After the training and motivations, the
mid-high management team and their staffs successful transform and mobilize in
a positive manner within 6 months and perform well, enable the new and old team
handover smoothly and successfully as per initial plan.
